Ultra Small VCSO
The new VS-700
from Vectron International is a SAW based voltage
controlled oscillator that operates at the fundamental frequency of the
internal SAW filter. The SAW filter is a high-Q quartz device that enables
the circuit to achieve low phase jitter performance over a wide operating
temperature range. The oscillator is housed in a hermetically sealed leadless
surface mount package offered on tape and reel. It has an output disable
to facilitate on-board testing.
Evacuated
Miniature Crystal Oscillator
Vectron also features the EX-380
which provides exceptionally low aging rates and tight
temperature stabilities in an extremely small package over a wide range
of environmental conditions. The through hole unit measures only 20.8mm
x 13.2mm x 7.6mm (0.82" x 0.52" x 0.30"). This EMXO series
bridges the gap between current large, high precision OCXO's and smaller
TCXO's.
The EX-380 Series becomes the most economical choice where there is a need for spectral purity, short and long term stability, along with small size and dramatically reduced power consumption. A surface mount version of this oscillator is available (EX-385), and Sinewave output is available in the surface mount version.
Ultra
Small Temperature Controlled Crystal Oscillator
Vectron has a series of miniature (5
x7 mm), surface mount, Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillators (TCXO's)
available in frequencies from 10 MHz to 20 MHz. The units offer stability's
as tight as ±1.0 ppm vs. a temperature range of -20°C to +70°C
or ±1.5 ppm -40 to 85°C. Current drain <2.0 mA. The VTC1 series
low-profile (<2.0 mm maximum height) TCVCXO has been designed for pick-and-place
mounting and reflow soldering. Units are available on tape-and-reel at no
additional charge. The reel size is 1000 pieces. and is compatible with EIA
standards. The VTC1's ultra small footprint and low profile make it ideally
suited to applications where space is limited or where backside assembly is
required.

From Hermetic Switch we bring you
Reed Switches, which are magnetically operated components with contacts hermetically
sealed in a glass capsule. Positioning a permanent magnet next to the switch or
placing the switch in or near an electromagnet causes the contact "reeds"
to flex and touch completing a circuit. Protective inert gas or a vacuum within
the capsule keeps the contacts clean and protected for the life of the device.
These very small, inexpensive devices provide millions of switching cycles in normal circuits. Applications include alarms, relays, and proximity sensors. Anytime an electric current must be turned ON or OFF without mechanically touching the switch, the REED SWITCH is a superior choice.
Proximity
Sensors
Also from Hermetic Switch,
Proximity Sensors which feature Reed Switches assembled in housings to protect
the switch and provide easy mounting. By selecting a Proximity Sensor, the customer
is able to by-pass switch preparation, wire cutting, wire stripping, soldering
and potting.
Proximity Sensors report the relative position of specific machine elements
that must be continuously monitored. Changing Actuator positions cause sensor
contacts to open or close allowing signal currents to flow. Proximity Sensors
respond to the magnetic field of the Actuator.
